Sam Kubek has more than 10 years of experience in helping clients improve planning across their organizations. Sam focuses on helping organizations pragmatically and efficiently apply planning processes and technology to meet both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals.
Sam’s journey to becoming a Managing Director at Spaulding Ridge began in 2013 when he started as an analyst at Blue Stone International, Jay Laabs’ first company. He continued to Huron after the acquisition and, in March 2018, joined Spaulding Ridge as a Manager. Named a Partner in September 2019, Sam’s knowledge of the CFO office and cloud strategy leads the Anaplan Practice. He loves seeing team members put in stretch roles succeed and excel, as well as managing large, complex client engagements.
Sam lives in Houston with his family. He is a big supporter of Project H.O.O.D., a group that focuses on inner city youth in Chicago. He also works with The First Tee and veteran’s charities on a more national level.
Sam earned his bachelor’s in finance and management information systems at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, after which he spent nearly a decade in consulting with a focus on finance and large transformational programs before joining Spaulding Ridge.
