The company’s voluntary insurance division sought to capture more market share in their space. They also needed the ability to cross-sell its voluntary products alongside core health insurance products. To accomplish this, they requireed a new quote automation system to replace legacy, manual processes for Sales, Underwriting and Implementation.

Quote Automation with Proposal Generation and e-Signatures
Spaulding Ridge recommended use of Salesforce CPQ and DocuSign CLM platforms to provide complete quote automation and integration of quoting and proposal generation. Along with this underwriting review and approval, digital signature, and generation of enrollment kits for accident plans, critical illness plans, and hospital 1.0 and 2.0 plans were other enhancement. We took a two-phase approach to establish a foundational platform and then augment with key features to enhance the quoting engine.
Phase 1 included preconfigured standard plan bundles, fully customizable product plans, automatic generation of rate tables, and proposal electronic signature.
Phase 2 covered enhancements to the company’s quoting engine. We added new products, allowing custom rate cards, enhanced proposal formatting, improved rules engine to produce quotes compliant with insurance certificates by all 50 states, and enhanced benefit summaries.
